alas, the interviewer coaxed the interviewee to use the word

(either dead or...?), that was to be avoided and his career as

an establishment figurehead was finished

the writer thanked a panel of 5 or 6 people of the

establishment, who had deeply disappointed expressions on

their faces, for allowing the up and coming personality to

continue with his career

as he and his close friend walked out of the room and the
